Whats giving you JOY?

I have been finding a lot of JOY lately and I am happy to share it with you.

After the birth of my 2nd child,
I became overweight and diagnosed with high blood pressure the

"SILENT KILLER"
(duum dumm dooom)
No? That didnt work for you...ok

Anyway So I had to eat different and exercise, things that I wasn't use to doing!
I am proud to say that I am enjoying this new me!

Eating different and exercising has actually given me energy! Energy to do things that I never had the energy to do before.  More than anything I am enjoying the way that my body is changing.
And change is what I need!

I am finding joy in eating only fruits, vegetables and drinking water.

I have spent years picking at my skin and buying products that will help clear my skin and good old H2O is all I needed!

My secret to consuming large amounts of water in a day...
I got a cup that make me feel like I am drinking from a restaurant cup!
A cup with a straw can make a world of a difference!

Hey would you like to win one of these cups?

Well, today is your lucky day!
If you can guess my current weight from the recent pictures below,

Happy Easter!

Christ the Lord is risen to-day!

Angels rolled the stone away

From the tomb wherein He lay!

Little children, come and sing,

"Glory, glory to the King,
Christ the Lord of everything!"

by Evaleen Stein

Red is for the blood He gave.

Green is for the grass He made.

Yellow is for the sun so bright.

Orange is for the edge of night.

Black is for the sins we made.

White is for the grace He gave.

Purple is for His hour of sorrow.

Pink is for our new tomorrow.

An egg full of jelly beans, Colorful and Sweet

Is a prayer, a promise, A loved one's treat!!

My God is a good God

Let me tell you how good he is
He died on the cross for us so that all of us could live....
There are some things he wants us to do and that is to live our lives the right way and when things aren't going right for us all we have to do is "PRAY"
My God is a good God you wanna know how I know I know my God is a good God because the Bible tells me so He's there when I need him even if I take a fall he's by my side when I need him all I have to do is give him a call
My God is a good God everything I am saying is true
My God is a good Godeverything he does for me, He'll do the same for you......
                                                                                                                                Reggie Richardson

Caterpillars are blooming into butterflies...

Spring cleaning, is all we did this weekend, we have prepared our outdoors for fun fun fun!
My porch is ready for a party and I am excited to show you how it turned out!

Remember when we bought this from the goodwill for $100.00, wasn't it nice of them to throw in the pillows, even though they didn't come with the furniture.

After it was painted this is how we were sitting on the furniture for almost 2 yrs! Very embarrassing. But that was all we had. We bought cushions last summer but returned them, cause it just wasn't the look that we were going for, so we were back to square one.

So this weekend was the weekend for getting the outside areas ready for spring.
Gutter cleaning, mowing, planting flowers and of course always hot gluing some stuff together.

Check out my rooftop photos!

I had never been up there before , so I really didn't know what to do!

My husband made bricks. Yes, bricks.
You will have to ask him how he made them, I was at church, but he made them.
He make me so proud.

We used them to border out the flowerbed.

It is going to look a whole lot better when the green grass grow back, against the bricks.

With all the roof top action..
 With all the brick laying.....
With all the mowing...........

We were so happy to retreat to our new porch!

Look like it was ripped from a magazine huh?
I know I LOVE IT!!!
I didn't think that it would turn out like it did, but here it is.

It started with this lantern, that I broke.
I love it and didn't want to throw it away, so I got my twine that I had left over and got to wrapping it and hot glueing it back to life.

It was all down up hill from there.
I went to Lowe's and found this rope that I used to hang my sheers, around the room and I used the same twine from the lantern to pull them together.

I even left the rope hanging like that, just for the beauty of it.

Accessorizing isn't just for indoors...

I found this cute tool box at one of my favorite places for $2.00.
It was here and there never really had a home until now, so when it rain, I can just pick this up and carry my reads in the house, no problem.

You maybe wondering what I am up to now....

Well, you should already know!!
