3 days till Christmas 2012

It will soon be Christmas 2012!
All of the shopping is complete and the gifts are wrapped and ready to be placed under the tree!
In this post I want to share my gift wrapping style.

The reason for this is because the 1st set of gifts were wrapped by my husband,

< Insert a picture of confusing looking MAN wrapped gifts  >
(didn’t want to embarrass him he was a trooper)

But, I will share with you the tools that he pulled out to wrap those gifts.

Thats a man for you!

So like I was stating before, I decided to show how I like to wrap gifts, not that mine are that great either, but I am hoping that my husband read this post thru and maybe learn a few new tricks to assist him in his wrapping technique.

1.

Place the gift face down and tape the back of the gift.

2.

Folding the end will give a seamless look when you bring the 2 sides together.

3.

After you have taped the two sides together, now it is time to tuck in those ends. You will want to push in on both sides at the same time.

4.

With the sides pushed in, you will then iron the folds really well, and it should look like this.

The two arrow points will need to meet.

5.

You will then cut the excess of the top fold, not to much but enough to it tape down.

6.

Fold the end of the bottom fold just a little bit to create that seamless look again, no need to tape it.
Bring it up and tape.

7.
After you have completed both ends you should have a perfectly wrapped gift.

8.
Now for the fun part!
Adding the ribbons and bows, there is no right or wrongs just have fun!
Tie it in a knot and tape it!

I usually add pre-made bows that are used for decorations .

9.

Ready to be placed under the tree.

Or wherever you will like to place them…

So happy gift wrapping and don’t forget to listen to Christmas Music to top off the holiday cheer!

Fun Wishes…

I have never done this before but I decided to make a wish list…..

Things that I truly don’t need but think are so cute and can make my life a little more fun!

Simone’s just have fun wish list…

This is the latest collection of nail polish from one of my favorite.. Essie!
The colors are so rich, I actually may already have these colors but can a woman truly have enough nail polish?

I love to polish my toes and nails at least once a week, (can’t get them to last longer than that) and when I polish them I have to sit for at least 2 hours in order to insure that they are dry, and will not smudge. So therefore I will love help to cut down this drying time.
 Got to have some bling!

The photographer in me fell in love instantly with this necklace!
But who make it and how much? I have no idea, so I went on a hunt to find it, but bumped into this set by Betsy Johnson at Macy’s.

OMG!!
I will love to rock theses during photo shoots.
I honestly think that if I had theses I will shoot a little better, and be a little more creative and a little more fun! :)

Nikon!! I don’t drink coffee, but will love to sip from one of these! Wouldn’t that be great fun!

This has been in my wish list on amazon for sometime now. It match my phone case and will be perfect for protecting my iPad, especially since my youngest daughter drop it every time she use it.

One of my favorite books from high school  “The Coldest Winter Ever” has a sequel, due to hit January 2013!
I will enjoy flashing back in time with this book.

We tried it….

Notice something different here? Does something seem out of place or a little odd?

My dishwasher, you say?
Good Eye!!

A while ago I bumped into this ..

We bought this paint well over a year ago and just built up the courage to attempt to change our plain white dishwasher into a stainless steel one…….

1.Wipe it down

2. Light sanding

3. 2 coats

4. Dry
After allowing it to dry for about 2 hours we, touched it up to give it a smoother look.

I am happy with the results, even though it doesn’t have that shine that you get with stainless steel. But for the time being until I can afford a new dishwasher, I feel that it compliments the kitchen well.

You may ask how does it hold up against the water and heat that the dishwasher produce, and I honestly can’t give you an answer for that. I only use my dishwasher as storage.
I dare not remove it , due to resale value.

Another Before and After!

And a new Kitchen update! Slowly but surely!

Merry Christmas,
